Fatal Temerloh car crash death of Nur Irdina Shaffiya Muhammad Nazri and Aneez Irdiena Sofya Khairul Azman – Obituary

A devastating crash in Temerloh has taken the lives of two 18-year-old girls, Nur Irdina Shaffiya Muhammad Nazri and her passenger, Aneez Irdiena Sofya Khairul Azman, after their motorcycle was struck by a car reportedly carrying illegal drugs.

The accident occurred at around 11 p.m. on June 11 at a traffic light junction along Jalan Tengku Ismail. The victims were on a Yamaha Ego Avantiz motorcycle, halted at the traffic signal, when a Perodua Bezza slammed into them from behind. Both young women died instantly at the scene.

Authorities identified the driver of the Bezza as a 38-year-old man from Kuala Lumpur. He was unharmed in the crash. A search of his vehicle at the police station uncovered two packets of suspected drugs: 50.85 grams of syabu and 0.85 grams of heroin, with an estimated street value of RM6,100.

Though the driver tested negative for drugs, police are investigating him under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which can carry a mandatory death sentence if convicted. He is expected to be held in custody as investigations proceed.

The remains of both teenagers were sent to Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital for autopsy.
