Robert Gauthier dies in fatal Bellingham, Massachusetts bicycle crash

Fatal Bellingham, Massachusetts bicycle crash death of Robert Gauthier – Obituary

Robert Gauthier, 60, from Woonsocket, Rhode Island, passed away after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in Bellingham on June 9.

According to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office, the collision occurred around 12:44 p.m. on South Main Street. Emergency responders transported Gauthier to Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver involved, a juvenile, remained at the scene and was medically evaluated before being taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

Authorities have charged the driver with motor vehicle homicide, negligent operation, and marked lane violation. The investigation continues as the community mourns the loss of Gauthier.
