Rosa Maria Borrego-Mojica dies in fatal Longmont home fire
Fatal Longmont home fire death of Rosa Maria Borrego-Mojica – Obituary
Rosa Maria Borrego-Mojica, 46, was found dead following a blaze that consumed a home behind a business near Highway 119 and County Road 7 in Longmont early on June 6.
According to Mountain View Fire Rescue, the fire erupted just before 3:40 a.m. Firefighters arrived to find the residence fully engulfed, taking 20 minutes to control the flames and several additional hours to extinguish the fire due to the abundance of combustible materials inside.
Six people were inside when the fire began; several were treated at the scene and one person was hospitalized with burn injuries.
After a thorough search, Borrego-Mojica was discovered deceased inside the home. Fire officials are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
Assistance for displaced residents is being provided by the American Red Cross of Colorado and Wyoming. Multiple agencies, including Frederick Firestone Fire and the Weld County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the emergency.
