Fatal Moncks Corner car crash death of Christopher Jenkins – Obituary

Christopher Jenkins, an 88-year-old man from St. Stephen, lost his life in a single-vehicle crash that occurred Thursday afternoon on North Highway 52 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina.

Authorities reported that Jenkins was driving a 2005 Lexus SUV when the vehicle left the roadway for reasons still under investigation. Emergency crews from Berkeley County EMS, the Sheriff’s Office, and Moncks Corner Fire & Rescue arrived at the crash site shortly after 12:51 p.m. Jenkins was found deceased at the scene and was the only occupant in the vehicle.

Officials have yet to disclose the cause of the accident, and the investigation is ongoing. The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and Moncks Corner Police Department continue to look into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
