Fatal Milford motorcycle crash death of Jose Rivera – Obituary

Police have identified the motorcyclist who lost his life in a crash on Interstate 95 in Milford as Jose Rivera, a resident of Hamden.

According to Connecticut State Police, the accident occurred shortly after midnight on Thursday, June 12, 2025, near exit 38. However, the wreckage was not located until approximately 12:20 p.m. that same day.

Investigators report that Rivera was unable to safely make a turn, which caused him to collide with a roadside barrier and six sand-filled crash barrels.

The crash prompted a full closure of I-95 North between exits 36 and 38 for several hours, resulting in extensive traffic delays.
