A tragic series of events in East McKeesport late Thursday night ended with the death of 20-year-old Keith Pelmon III of Penn Hills, who was found shot inside a crashed vehicle. The fatal incident is under active investigation by Allegheny County authorities.

According to police, emergency responders were dispatched around 11:48 p.m. after a vehicle collided with a parked car near the intersection of Pittsburgh Street and Walnut Alley. Upon arrival, officers discovered Pelmon in the driver’s seat with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe the shooting took place at Park Avenue and Pittsburgh Street, with the wounded vehicle continuing for a block before crashing. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner confirmed Pelmon’s identity Friday morning.
