MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN — A 24-year-old man from Milwaukee was arrested in Sheboygan Falls in connection with a double shooting and a high-speed freeway chase on June 11.

According to the Sheboygan Falls Police Department, the suspect confronted a 39-year-old man at a home near Giddings Avenue and Guilford Street around 4:15 p.m., shooting both the man and a 67-year-old bystander. Both victims sustained life-threatening injuries and were transported by helicopter to a hospital, where they are expected to survive.

Authorities say the suspect, who knew the victims, fled the scene in a stolen SUV. Deputies in Ozaukee County located the vehicle near State Highway 33 in Saukville and attempted a traffic stop. The suspect fled south on I-43, leading officers on a chase through Ozaukee and Milwaukee counties.

The Wisconsin State Patrol used tire deflation devices near Good Hope Road, causing the suspect to crash the SUV near Silver Spring Road. He then attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended shortly afterward.
