Whitney Camp dies in fatal Boone County car crash

Fatal Boone County car crash death of Whitney Camp – Obituary

Whitney Camp, 24, tragically lost her life in a car accident at the intersection of Spring Creek and Shah Rhodes in Boone County on Tuesday. The Winnebago County coroner confirmed her identity following the incident.

According to a GoFundMe page created by her loved ones, Whitney was eight months pregnant at the time of the crash. Her baby underwent emergency surgery and is currently fighting for survival. Two other relatives who were also in the vehicle suffered severe injuries and remain hospitalized.

The other motorist involved in the collision received medical attention at the scene but was not taken to the hospital. Authorities have yet to release that driver’s name and have not indicated whether charges will be pursued in the case.
