Fatal Colorado Springs stabbing death of Camden Mills – Obituary

Camden Mills, 23, was fatally wounded in a stabbing on the east side of Colorado Springs on Tuesday evening.

According to Colorado Springs Police Department, officers responded to reports of a stabbing near North Carefree Circle and North Academy Boulevard at approximately 9:45 p.m. Upon arriving at the scene, first responders discovered Mills suffering from at least one stab wound. He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.

The El Paso County Coroner is treating the death as a homicide, though an official cause of death has not yet been released. Investigators report that 22‑year‑old Daveione Manning has been arrested and charged with first‑degree murder; he is currently held in the El Paso County Jail.

Authorities confirmed this marks the 17th homicide in Colorado Springs so far in 2025—down slightly from 20 at the same point last year.
