Carlos Claros dies in fatal San Antonio shooting
Fatal San Antonio shooting death of Carlos Claros – Obituary
Carlos Claros, aged 31, has been confirmed by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office as one of the two men killed in a shooting that followed a fight outside a bar on the North Side of San Antonio. The incident took place early Sunday morning, June 8, outside LUNA Live Music Bar located on San Pedro Avenue.
Authorities say shots were fired around 5:30 a.m., prompting police to respond. When officers arrived, they discovered one man already deceased and another with gunshot wounds who was taken to a hospital, where he later passed away. Claros was identified as the second man who died from the gunfire, and his death has officially been ruled a homicide.
The first victim was previously identified as 45-year-old Guillermo Serrano Jr., who also succumbed to gunshot wounds. It remains unclear what exactly unfolded in the moments leading up to the shooting, but early statements from San Antonio police suggested the men may have exchanged fire following a disturbance that began with a group of women in the parking lot.
Investigators have not yet confirmed if either of the deceased men were patrons of the bar that night. A preliminary police report indicates the shooter fled before officers arrived.
In response to the incident, the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission has opened a case. That inquiry is in addition to a separate, ongoing investigation into the establishment regarding alleged alcohol service violations dating back to August 2024. No updates have been shared from either investigation.
