Cody Johnson dies in fatal Memphis shooting

Fatal Memphis shooting death of Cody Johnson – Obituary

Authorities in Memphis have identified Cody Johnson as the man who was fatally shot outside his apartment complex on Birch Lake Drive in the southeast part of the city. The incident occurred late in the evening on June 3 around 10:40 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found Johnson lying outside the front door of his residence, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported in critical condition to Regional One Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Surveillance footage reviewed by police revealed that two suspects, dressed in all black and wearing ski masks, approached Johnson and fired numerous shots at him before fleeing the scene on foot.
