Dustin K. Wright dies in fatal Fort Campbell helicopter crash

Fatal Fort Campbell helicopter crash death of Dustin K. Wright – Obituary

Chief Warrant Officer 2 Dustin K. Wright, a 40-year-old member of the 101st Airborne Division, lost his life on June 11 during a helicopter training exercise at Fort Campbell.

 

Wright was operating an AH-64 Apache helicopter when the deadly incident occurred. Another pilot on board was also injured but only sustained minor wounds.

 

Having joined the U.S. Army in 2010, Wright served with distinction and had been stationed at Fort Campbell since 2022.

 

The military is currently investigating the cause of the fatal training accident.
