Eric Comer, Jr., a 34-year-old man from Ft. Myers, Florida, was killed in a crash involving a cement truck and a semi in Cass County, North Dakota. The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the junction of Highway 18 and Cass County Road 26.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Comer was driving a cement truck westbound on County Road 26 and reportedly failed to stop at the intersection. His vehicle was struck by a semi-truck hauling potatoes.

Comer died at the scene from injuries sustained in the collision. The driver of the semi, 78-year-old Lyle Fuglestad of Minto, North Dakota, was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Emergency crews from multiple departments, including the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, local fire departments, and ambulance services, responded to the crash. Reports indicated that both the road and weather conditions were favorable at the time. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
