Authorities in Coralville have identified 27-year-old Mason Edwards as the man who was shot and killed late Wednesday night at the Western Hills Mobile Estates.

Police were called to the mobile home park shortly before midnight at 11:54 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Edwards had sustained two gunshot wounds to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a statement from the Coralville Police Department, the shooting appears to be an isolated event, and there is no current threat to the broader community. No information has been provided about any arrests in connection with the case.
