Fatal Reserve shooting death of Tylik Jackson – Obituary
Seventeen-year-old Tylik Jackson was fatally shot in Reserve, Louisiana, following a physical altercation on June 12. Authorities say the fight began between Jackson and another young man, Jaydon Williams, and escalated when Williams ran across the street to an apartment, retrieved a firearm from Damon Brown Jr., and shot Jackson multiple times. Jackson was found on Northwest Third Street with several gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Law enforcement arrested both Williams, who surrendered voluntarily, and Brown in connection with the shooting. Williams faces charges of second-degree murder, while Brown is charged with being a principal to second-degree murder and obstruction of justice. The incident reportedly stemmed from a dispute involving a girl.
