Fatal Lynwood shooting death of Jeici Serrano – Obituary

Jeici Serrano, an 18-year-old burglary suspect, was fatally shot early Thursday morning during a reported home invasion robbery in Lynwood. Deputies from Century Sheriff’s Station responded to a call around 1:45 a.m. on Linden Street near Imperial Highway, where they found Serrano wounded by gunfire. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel.

The investigation revealed that approximately five male suspects, all dressed in black, had entered the residence around 1:26 a.m. When the residents became aware of their presence, the suspects fled. During their escape, one of them fired an unknown firearm toward the home. The suspects were last seen running north on Linden Street and out of sight.

It remains unclear who fired the fatal shot. Authorities continue to investigate the incident, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau.
