Rudy Garza, 61, has been identified as one of the individuals who lost their life in the catastrophic flooding that struck San Antonio on Thursday. His name was announced by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office on Saturday morning, along with three other victims.
The intense deluge overwhelmed areas around Loop 410 and Perrin Beitel, sweeping away multiple vehicles and engulfing streets. Garza became trapped in the powerful currents, part of the tragic event that has claimed at least 12 lives.
He is remembered alongside Christine Gonzales, Josue Pinadelatorre, and Andrew Sanchez, whose identities were also confirmed on Saturday. Emergency teams continue to search and assess the flood’s full impact, as San Antonio copes with this immense loss and begins the recovery process.
