Adam Harrison, a 30-year-old skydiving instructor from Bournemouth, was one of two people who lost their lives during a tandem jump near Dunkeswell aerodrome in Devon on Friday.

Authorities were alerted to the scene in the Blackdown Hills area after concerns were raised about the safety of two individuals involved in the jump.

Both Adam Harrison and Belinda Taylor, 48, from Totnes, were pronounced dead at the site of the incident. Police officially released their names on Monday following a family statement regarding Taylor.

Law enforcement officials, British Skydiving, and East Devon District Council’s environmental health and safety team are jointly investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.

Belinda Taylor, who was a mother to four and grandmother to two, was described by her son Connor Bowles as a woman who consistently put others before herself. He expressed that her passing would leave a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

Scott Armstrong, Taylor’s partner, also took to social media to express his heartbreak, calling her his best friend and expressing gratitude for the role she played in his life and his children’s lives.

Skydive Buzz, the company responsible for organizing the tandem jump, expressed sorrow over the deaths and extended sympathies to all those affected.

The company emphasized that all standard procedures were followed and that relevant authorities were informed without delay. They reiterated their commitment to safety and full cooperation with the investigation.

British Skydiving’s chief executive, Robert Gibson, also issued condolences and confirmed that a formal inquiry would be carried out. The findings will be shared with the coroner, police, CAA, and other pertinent
