Allen Szczepek dies in fatal Beaufort County motorcycle crash

Fatal Beaufort County motorcycle crash death of Allen Szczepek

Allen Szczepek, 68, from Beaufort, was identified by the Beaufort County Coroner’s Office as the motorcyclist who died following a crash last week. The incident occurred on U.S. 21 near Glass Road, close to the Highway 21 Drive-In.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that Szczepek was riding a 2002 Harley-Davidson northbound around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday when he veered off the right side of the road. He was transported to Beaufort Memorial Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash to determine the exact cause.
