Fatal Martinsburg stabbing death of Ashland Clive Jarrett – Obituary

Ashland Clive Jarrett, a 23-year-old man from Martinsburg, West Virginia, died after being stabbed during a domestic dispute on January 6.

Officers from the Martinsburg Police Department responded to the incident around 6 p.m. in the Tuskegee Drive area, where they discovered Jarrett with a stab wound.

He was rushed to Berkeley Medical Center but was pronounced dead from his injuries.

Police identified the suspect as 20-year-old Tayari Quade Rosario, who was involved in a physical altercation with Jarrett. Rosario sustained minor injuries during the confrontation. After receiving medical clearance, she was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, domestic battery, and brandishing a weapon. Her bond was set at $105,500.

Although Rosario pleaded not guilty to the charges and has no prior criminal history, Jarrett reportedly had previous arrests related to domestic battery from 2021 through 2024.

The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities are encouraging anyone with information to reach out to the Martinsburg Police Department.
