Fatal Santa Ana shooting death of Christopher Michael Abarca – Obituary

Christopher Michael Abarca, 23, of Santa Ana, was shot in the head and later died after being discovered in a vehicle early Saturday morning.

Authorities responded to the scene around 7:50 a.m. at 1105 South Townsend Street near West Lingan Lane, where they found Abarca seated in the driver’s seat of a sedan with a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Santa Ana Police confirmed the shooting and stated that the suspect remains at large. No description of the suspect or potential motive has been released at this time.
