Daniel Guzman dies in fatal Dover shooting

Fatal Dover shooting death of Daniel Guzman

Dover police have confirmed that 22-year-old Daniel Guzman lost his life after being shot outside a residence in the early hours of June 14. Guzman, who lived in Dover, was struck in the upper body during the incident.

 

Authorities reported that Guzman was among five individuals shot while gathered outside a home on the 400 block of Barrister Place shortly after 12:30 a.m. Responding officers found him critically wounded and administered emergency aid before transporting him to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

 

The remaining four victims, all men from Dover, sustained non-fatal gunshot wounds. The injured included a 58-year-old, 26-year-old, and 24-year-old, each shot in the lower body, as well as a 21-year-old who suffered a wound to the upper body.

 

The shooter fled the scene and remains unidentified. Dover police are continuing their investigation and are urging anyone with information to come forward. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling (302) 736-7141.
