Kamori Lake dies in fatal Gulfport shooting

Fatal Gulfport shooting death of Kamori Lake – Obituary

Kamori Lake, a 16-year-old who was pregnant, was fatally shot on Sunday in Gulfport, Mississippi. The Harrison County Coroner, Whitney Valles, officially confirmed her identity.

The tragic shooting occurred on the 4000 block of 32nd Street. Authorities have arrested 15-year-old Brenton Brumfield, who now faces charges of second-degree murder and homicide of an unborn child in connection with Kamori’s death.

In addition, three others—19-year-old Jamarrion Jackson, along with a 13-year-old and a 17-year-old—have been charged with hindering the prosecution of Brumfield. Jackson’s bond was set at $25,000.

Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the case.
