Fatal Cleburne County car crash death of Rebecca Brett

Rebecca Brett, 63, of Draasco, was killed Thursday morning when the car she was driving veered off the road and crashed in Cleburne County, Arkansas, according to state police.

Authorities say the incident occurred around 10:15 a.m. on Arkansas Highway 92. Brett was headed west in a 2007 Ford when she failed to make a right-hand curve. The vehicle ran off the roadway to the south and collided with a ditch embankment.

Investigators noted that the weather was clear and the road surface was dry when the crash happened.

Her death was one of nine fatalities reported on Arkansas roads over the past week, with ten others suffering injuries in various incidents statewide, according to preliminary Arkansas State Police reports.
