Fatal Horry County hit-and-run death of Wayne Henry Sr. – Obituary
Wayne Henry Sr., 65, was identified by the Horry County Coroner’s Office as the victim of a deadly hit-and-run accident that occurred early Sunday morning on Juniper Bay Road near Conway.
Henry was discovered near the 4000 block of the road around 5:30 a.m., though officials believe the collision happened sometime after 2:30 a.m.
Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard reported that Henry was pushing his bicycle when he was struck and died from blunt force trauma.
Law enforcement and emergency responders, including the highway patrol, Horry County police, and Fire Rescue, were called to the scene between Singing Pines Drive and Redwood Lane to investigate the incident. No further details have been released as the investigation continues.
