The Leesburg Police Department has confirmed that 24-year-old Ashlin Barraclough was the victim in a deadly pedestrian collision that occurred late Thursday night, June 12, near the intersection of the Leesburg Bypass (Route 15) and Edwards Ferry Road NE.

A Leesburg officer on routine patrol discovered the crash scene at approximately 11:35 p.m. Emergency responders were immediately summoned, but despite attempts to resuscitate Barraclough, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver involved in the crash remained at the location and has been cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation. As of now, no charges have been filed in relation to the incident.
