Brayden Edwards, a 4-year-old boy from Garner, lost his life over the weekend after drowning in a pond at a campground in Carteret County, North Carolina.
The incident occurred on Saturday night at Goose Creek Resort, located along Red Barn Road near the town of Bogue. Emergency services were alerted to the scene around 9:00 p.m., according to Carteret County deputies.
Authorities say Brayden was with his parents, who were visiting the area. Despite bystanders attempting CPR and other life-saving measures, the child was pronounced dead after being transported to Carteret Health Care.
