Fatal Montgomery shooting death of Carmilla Taylor
Montgomery police have confirmed that 28-year-old Carmilla Taylor was the woman who lost her life in a deadly shooting incident early Sunday morning.
According to authorities, officers along with emergency medical teams responded around 2 a.m. to a location in the 2800 block of East South Boulevard, situated near Governors Square shopping center and close to the former Montgomery Mall.
Upon arrival, first responders found Taylor and another woman suffering from gunshot injuries. Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital, where Taylor was later pronounced dead.
The Montgomery Police Department has since opened a homicide case into Taylor’s killing. No further details, including potential suspects or motives, have been disclosed at this time.
