DERBY, ENGLAND — Three men have been arrested in Derby in connection with the fatal stabbing of 21-year-old Dale Martin, known to his friends and family as DJ.
According to Derbyshire Constabulary, the suspects — a 16-year-old boy, a 22-year-old man, and a 26-year-old man — were taken into custody on Tuesday, June 17, following the incident. Authorities say the stabbing took place late on Sunday, June 15, on Stenson Road in Derby, where officers responded to reports of an assault at approximately 11:45 p.m. Martin was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to hospital.
Detectives have also linked the incident to an earlier disturbance outside The Oaklands pub on Oaklands Avenue in Littleover, where reports of men carrying knives were received at around 6 p.m. that same evening. No injuries were reported at that location.
The suspects were transported to a detention facility and are currently facing charges related to the murder investigation. Four other individuals previously arrested in connection with the incident have been released on bail.
