Fatal Oklahoma City shooting death of Eddie Hill

Eddie Hill, aged 41, was fatally shot in a police-involved incident in Southwest Oklahoma City on Monday morning. The Oklahoma City Police Department confirmed his identity and reported that four officers involved in the shooting have been placed on routine administrative leave.

Officers responded to a call just after 5:30 a.m. near Southwest 17th Street and South Portland Avenue, initially regarding a possible suicide attempt that later developed into a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers Juan Quintana, Adam Brown, Isabel Sanroman, and Marcus Oliveira confronted Hill, who was armed with a knife.

According to the police, Hill opened the front door and aggressively moved toward the closest officer, attempting to stab him despite orders to drop the knife. The officers fired their weapons in response to the threat. Hill was transported to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The police department has placed all four officers on routine administrative leave while the investigation into the shooting continues. Authorities have not released further details pending the ongoing inquiry.
