Fatal Dodge County park fall death of Felix Mata Eusebio

Felix Mata Eusebio, a 21-year-old man from Mayville, died on Saturday after a tragic fall from a high ledge at Ledge County Park in Dodge County, Wisconsin, according to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities stated that the incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on June 14 while Eusebio was visiting the park with two companions. He reportedly climbed onto a rocky ledge to take a photograph when he lost his balance and plunged approximately 40 feet.

Emergency personnel responded and located Eusebio partway down the ledge. Both paramedics and a medical helicopter were dispatched, but he was declared dead at the location and was not transported to any medical facility.

Investigators later determined that alcohol consumption played a role in the fatal fall.
