Fatal State. Louis City shooting death of Joseph Brown

On the evening of May 25, 2025, emergency medical teams were dispatched to the 3200 block of Knapp Street in the Hyde Park area of St. Louis following a report of an unresponsive individual. At approximately 6:06 p.m., EMS personnel arrived at the location and discovered 41-year-old Joseph Brown with injuries suggesting trauma. He was promptly taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.

 

Joseph Brown remained hospitalized for several days, but on May 31, shortly after 6 p.m., he succumbed to his injuries. Medical staff informed police investigators on June 3 that the cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma to the head, officially classifying the case as a homicide.

 

Joseph Brown, a resident of St. Louis City, was identified as the victim. Authorities have launched an ongoing investigation to determine the events leading up to his fatal injuries.
