Fatal Corona shooting death of Joseph Torres

Joseph Torres, a 29-year-old man from Perris, California, died after being shot multiple times on June 7, 2025, in Corona.

Police officers responded at 6:53 PM to a shooting report in the 500 block of Penrose Drive and found Torres suffering from several gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by officers, Torres died at the scene.

The investigation is being handled by the Corona Police Department’s Investigative Services Division, which considers the shooting gang-related. Several suspects have been identified and taken into custody, though their names remain withheld due to the ongoing nature of the case.
