Kentawon R. Marshall dies in fatal Marshall County crash

Fatal Marshall County car crash death of Kentawon R. Marshall

A semi-truck driver identified as 47-year-old Kentawon R. Marshall from Gary lost his life after suffering a medical emergency that led to a crash late Friday night on U.S. 30 in Marshall County.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:40 p.m. in the westbound lanes just west of U.S. 31. Emergency dispatchers received reports of a semi that had veered off the north side of the highway.

Responding officers discovered Marshall unresponsive in the vehicle, experiencing a serious medical crisis. First responders quickly worked to remove him from the truck and began emergency treatment on the scene.

Marshall was transported to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth for additional medical care but was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was supported at the scene by the Indiana State Police, Plymouth Police, Plymouth Fire Department, and the Marshall County Coroner’s Office.
