Michael Charles Scardino dies in fatal Las Vegas illegal street race motorcycle crash

Fatal Las Vegas illegal street race motorcycle crash death of Michael Charles Scardino

Michael Charles Scardino, 37, of Henderson, was killed during an illegal street race on Summerlin Parkway in Las Vegas on June 8.

Nevada State Police reported that the fatal incident happened around 9:48 p.m. near the eastbound off-ramp at Summerlin Parkway and North Buffalo Drive. The investigation revealed that Scardino and another motorcyclist were involved in an unauthorized speed contest, weaving dangerously through traffic.

Scardino’s motorcycle collided with a Honda Civic and became caught in its tire, splitting the motorcycle in two and ejecting Scardino from the bike. The Honda came to a controlled stop on the right shoulder.

This tragic crash is the 31st fatality in the 30 fatal crash investigations conducted by the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Southern Command in 2025.
