MONROE, La. Man LaQuanta Lynch Arrested in Ouachita Parish for Second-Degree Murder

 

MONROE, La. — LaQuanta Lynch, a 39-year-old resident of Monroe, was arrested in Ouachita Parish in connection with a second-degree murder charge.

 

According to Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s deputies, Lynch was taken into custody on June 17 during a traffic stop after authorities detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Lynch initially gave a false name but was positively identified by deputies, who then learned he had active warrants including second-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, and multiple weapon-related charges.

 

Lynch is a suspect in the 2023 Parkview Apartments shooting that resulted in the death of 61-year-old Rebecca Jones. He was transported to the Ouachita Correctional Center and is currently facing charges related to the incident.
