Fatal Henderson shooting death of Myron Fulton

Myron Fulton, 40, was killed in a shooting that took place in Henderson, Tennessee.

Police responded Sunday evening to reports of a heavy law enforcement presence near the intersection of Whitley and Laura Street, where they found Fulton deceased in the roadway from gunshot wounds.

On Monday around 4:30 p.m., authorities arrested 35-year-old Ashton Smith-Carter of Henderson in connection with the killing. Smith-Carter faces charges including first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.

Henderson Chief of Police Gary Davidson emphasized the crucial role that community tips played in leading police to Smith-Carter’s residence in Adamsville, helping bring swift progress to the investigation. He encouraged anyone with information, no matter how small it seems, to contact police to assist ongoing efforts.

 

The investigation remains active as local law enforcement continues to follow leads and work toward justice in this case.
