A deadly motorcycle accident that occurred Monday in Phenix City has claimed the life of 26-year-old Nathaniel Haddix of Fortson, Georgia.

The crash took place on U.S. Highway 80 East, where emergency responders arrived to find Haddix deceased at the scene. He was officially pronounced dead at 11:20 a.m., according to Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr.

Sumbry confirmed that Haddix died from blunt-force trauma to the head and body sustained during the collision. No other vehicles were reported to be involved in the crash.

Authorities have not released further details regarding the circumstances leading up to the accident, and the investigation remains ongoing.
