Ryan A. Farley dies in fatal Genesee County crash

Fatal Genesee County crash death of Ryan A. Farley

A deadly head-on collision occurred Monday night on Route 63 in the town of Bethany, Genesee County, claiming the life of a motorcyclist.

Authorities from the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office reported that a 27-year-old man from Buffalo was driving a sport utility vehicle northbound on Route 63 at approximately 10 p.m. when he tried to overtake two large tractor-trailers and a farm vehicle. During the attempt to pass, the SUV collided directly with a motorcycle traveling south.

The rider of the motorcycle, identified as 40-year-old Ryan A. Farley from Hemlock in Livingston County, was declared deceased at the scene by emergency personnel.

The driver of the SUV was transported to United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia for medical evaluation.

Law enforcement officials are still investigating the incident, and potential charges are pending.
