Fatal Marysville car crash death of Clint Waddell
A tragic head-on collision in Marysville on Saturday claimed the life of 22-year-old Clint Waddell, along with two others.
The Yuba County Sheriff’s Office reported that the crash happened at approximately 2:15 p.m. on Highway 70 between Laurellen Road and 24th Street. A sedan with five people inside, including a toddler, collided with a truck carrying just the driver.
Clint Waddell, along with 17-year-old Michael Mallison and 22-year-old Salma Ramirez-Lujano, were all riding in the sedan. All three were pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
A toddler in the sedan was injured, though the severity of the injuries has not been made public. One other sedan passenger and the truck driver both sustained serious injuries and were transported to receive medical care.
Officials have yet to determine what led to the fatal crash, and the investigation is still in progress.
