Fatal St. Louis party fight death of Daniel Stahl

A 16-year-old boy from Springfield, Missouri, identified as Daniel Stahl, was killed after a fight erupted following an unauthorized rooftop party in downtown St. Louis early Monday morning.

Police responded to the 1500 block of Washington Avenue after reports of physical altercations and gunfire. Upon arrival, officers discovered Daniel Stahl had been fatally struck by a vehicle, and a 29-year-old woman had been both shot and hit by the same car.

Authorities believe the incident began when two groups got into a dispute over entry to the unapproved party. The conflict quickly escalated, with both groups exchanging gunfire. During the chaos, a burgundy car drove onto the sidewalk, striking both victims. A passenger in the vehicle was reportedly firing a weapon while the car was in motion.

Stahl was pronounced dead at the scene, while the woman was transported to a hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Later that same day, investigators located the suspected vehicle and arrested 26-year-old George McDonald III. He was charged with fleeing the scene of a fatal crash. In a police interview, McDonald reportedly admitted he was aware he had hit someone during the incident.

The case is still under active
