Erik Florer dies in fatal Sun Valley car crash

Fatal Sun Valley car crash death of Erik Florer

Erik Florer, 43, lost his life Tuesday morning after being hit by a vehicle in Sun Valley, with the driver fleeing the scene.

The Los Angeles Police Department received an emergency call around 6:05 a.m. about a man lying on the ground near Laurel Canyon and Roscoe boulevards.

Officer Kevin Terzes reported that a canopy was requested at the location to shield the deceased’s body.

Authorities have yet to release any details about the suspect or the vehicle involved in the deadly hit-and-run.

The victim was formally identified as Erik Florer by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Investigators remained at the crash site for at least two hours following the discovery of the body.
