Fatal Woodstock motorcycle crash death of George Dunn

Authorities have identified 61-year-old George Dunn of Oxford as the man killed in a motorcycle accident that took place Sunday evening in Woodstock, Maine.

The incident occurred around 7:50 p.m. near the crossroads of South Main Street and Route 232.

According to the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, a gray pickup truck is believed to have veered into the path of a motorcycle attempting to pass, causing the bike to leave the roadway and crash into nearby woods.

Dunn, who was operating the motorcycle, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 50-year-old woman from Oxford, who was riding as a passenger, was seriously hurt and transported to the hospital for treatment.

Investigators located the pickup truck they believe was involved in the crash, though it remains unclear if any charges have been or will be brought forward.
