Ashkan Pournasir-Roudbane dies in fatal Toronto stabbing

Fatal Toronto stabbing death of Ashkan Pournasir-Roudbane

A violent altercation late Tuesday night in Toronto’s east end resulted in the death of 36-year-old Ashkan Pournasir-Roudbane.

Toronto police responded to a call just after 11 p.m. in the area of Danforth and Coxwell avenues, where a man had been stabbed behind a plaza during a fight between two males.

Upon arrival, officers found Pournasir-Roudbane suffering from serious stab wounds. He was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries but later died.

Police say a suspect wearing dark clothing and a black face covering was seen fleeing the scene.

An image of the suspect has been released, and the Toronto Police homicide unit is leading the investigation.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as they continue to search for the individual responsible.
