Fatal Lycoming County motorcycle crash death of Cogan Metzger

Cogan Metzger, a 21-year-old from Montoursville, lost his life following a motorcycle collision with an SUV in Lycoming County late Wednesday night, officials reported.

The crash took place just before 10 p.m. at the intersection of East Third Street and Old Montoursville Road in Loyalsock Township. Authorities said Metzger had exited Interstate 180 at the Warrensville ramp and was riding at a high speed when he struck an SUV.

Metzger was transported to a hospital, where medical personnel attempted to save him, but he succumbed to multiple blunt force injuries.

The Lycoming County Coroner confirmed his death and noted that the crash remains under investigation as officials continue to examine the incident.
