Jeffrey Allen dies in fatal Goldsboro motel shooting

Fatal Goldsboro motel shooting death of Jeffrey Allen

Jeffrey Allen, 58, of Goldsboro, North Carolina, was killed following a shooting at the Lodge Inn motel on Norwood Avenue Tuesday night. Police arrived at the scene around 10:26 p.m. after reports of gunfire and discovered Allen suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to UNC Health Wayne but later succumbed to his injuries.

On Wednesday night, Goldsboro police announced the arrests of Pamela Owens, 50, and Mark Gant, 34, who face charges including murder and discharging a firearm into an occupied property causing serious injury. Gant was already in custody on unrelated charges when served with the murder warrant, while Owens was taken into custody by the Criminal Investigations Division and the Selective Enforcement Unit. Both remain jailed without bond.
