Fatal Boron house fire death of Charles Raymond Norwood
A man who perished in a residential fire in Boron last month has been identified as 58-year-old Charles Raymond Norwood, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
The deadly blaze occurred just before 1:00 a.m. on May 20 in the 26000 block of Twenty Mule Team Road, where emergency crews discovered Norwood deceased at the scene.
Officials confirmed that Norwood died from acute smoke inhalation. The coroner’s office has ruled the death an accident.
