Fatal Cullman head-on crash death of Colby Strong
An 18-year-old Cullman teen, Colby Strong, was tragically killed Wednesday afternoon after a head-on collision between his motorcycle and a pickup truck, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported.
The crash occurred at about 4:23 p.m. on U.S. Highway 278 near Cullman County Road 400, approximately five miles west of Cullman.
Strong was operating a 2005 Falcon 200 motorcycle when it struck a 2002 Ford F-350 traveling in the opposite direction. The impact caused Strong to be thrown from his motorcycle, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cullman County Coroner confirmed Strong’s identity and noted he was a recent graduate of West Point High School. The school shared a message expressing sorrow over the loss, highlighting Colby’s bright personality, compassionate nature, and the positive impact he had on his community.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident.
