Fatal Parleys Canyon crash death of Colin Atherton
Colin Atherton, a 27-year-old resident of Millcreek, has been identified as the individual who died after his vehicle careened off an Interstate 215 ramp near Parleys Canyon and rolled into a ravine early Thursday.
Authorities reported that Atherton was thrown from his car during the crash, which happened as he was transitioning from the eastbound I-80 ramp to I-215.
Investigators are still working to determine what caused the vehicle to veer off the roadway. There were no other cars involved in the incident, according to police.
