Fatal Janesville shooting death of Julia Cvicker
Julia Cvicker, 25, has been identified as one of three people killed during a tragic shooting at a Janesville apartment complex earlier this week.
The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office also named Jahvarius Wicks, 21, and Scott Roberts, 55, as victims in the same incident, which occurred Tuesday morning around 11 a.m. in the 2600 block of Pontiac Drive.
Responding officers with the Janesville Police Department found one victim at the doorway with a gunshot wound and three others injured inside the apartment.
Three of the individuals, including Cvicker, were pronounced dead at the scene. A fourth person was rushed to a hospital and remains in critical condition.
Police located a firearm inside the apartment and believe one person opened fire on the others before turning the weapon on themselves.
The motive appears to be linked to a domestic relationship involving two of the people present, although authorities have not publicly identified the suspected shooter.
The Janesville Police Department expressed its sympathies to the victims’ families, describing the event as a deeply painful loss for the community.
